From 1998 to 2012, all the numbers of an unstoppable growth by
the progressive increase of the spaces for storage, production and offices.
The purchase of new buildings is an alternative reading through which we can
retrace the main phases of a successful business case.
A new building to expand the
  production area and the warehouse
To represent the growth of a company they usually show diagrams
and charts filled with numbers. But in Idrobase Group, with the opening of
the a new building of 1.000 m2, which will be destined to the production and
the storage, we found that to tell how far the company has grown, the
turnover can be linked to many other factors, such as for instance, the
  logistic aspects.
We discover that in 1998, after 12 years as distributors,
Idrobase adventure started with 900 m2, 2/3 for
the storage and 100 m2 for the production to meet the demands of a market
mainly Italian. The choice of investing on production and storage is exactly
right, so that in 2003 the need is to extend the spaces of 50% with new areas
for warehouse and offices to allocate new employees who are meanwhile almost
  doubled from 8 to 15.
The following years of great business development, from 2003 to
2007, doubled the turnover, reaching € 5.5 million and set a new crucial
quality breakthrough. The total area follows the
increase of the turnover doubling in turn, switching from 1360 m2 to 2570 m2.
The space used for the offices grows to 500 m2, the warehouse become of 1050
m2, but the turning point is especially in terms of spaces for the production,
which rise from 100 to 1020 m2. The years of recession are approaching and
the idea of the Club dei Riparatori, an Idrobase Group brand, of producing
and selling accessories and spare parts to manufacture and repair any kind of
pressure washers on the market is a winning weapon. There is the need of more
space for the storage for more than 10.000 articles of the Club dei
Riparatori. In this way the warehouse passes from
  1050 m2 in 2007 to 1750 m2 in 2008 and 2100 m2 in 2011 which, with 1020 m2
reserved to the production and 500 m2 for the offices, makes in total 3620 m2.
We come to the present day and to the climate of full recession
of the last years in which anyway Idrobase Group still manages to close the
  year 2011 with a +17% and the 2012 with a +13%, reaching a turnover of €
9.140 million. It's time for a new step forward to ensure new business
development. The purchase of a new building
adjacent to the historic headquarter of Borgoricco allows the company to
enlarge the warehouse, taking it from 2100 to 2600 m2, and the production
  from 1020 to 1520 m2, for a total company area of 4620 m2.
