As the old adage says, it is better to be safe than sorry. This is a lesson to adopt also for misting systems, and particularly nozzles, proper handling. To prevent malfunctioning caused by the limestone thickening, it is necessary, periodically (we suggest once a month), to carry out nozzles cleaning with some simple steps.
First, it is necessary to be equipped with vinegar and water: take two different glasses and fill them halfway. Immerse nozzles in vinegar for 30 minutes and, after that, soak them in the water for 5 minutes. This way, nozzles will be ready to be reinstalled in their own misting system, ready to nebulize the surrounding area. In about 5% of cases, it could happen that the nebulization system doesn’t work properly, in other words, it could drip, or the micronized water spray angle is not uniform.
If this is the case, it is necessary to open the nozzle with the specific hand tool to fix fog nozzles, to disassemble it into single components. Immerse the components in vinegar, and repeat the same procedure for cleaning the nozzle in its entirety. After the vinegar-bath (30 min.) and the water-bath (5 min.) also the most stubborn nozzle is now again “in perfect shape” and ready to be placed in the misting system once again.
